My family and I went up to Vancouver over Memorial Day Weekend.  It's a booming city with a ton of different people (Canada is, more and more so, a country of immigrants), so I figured that I could find a LOT of interesting people to shoot.  More so than in typical my Seattle suburbs.

It didn't turn out that way.  There were many cool people, definitely.  Because of the enormous Asian population, I saw a lot of more adventurous, urban looks, a few of which still stick out in my mind.  However, whenever I could get out, it was either too crowded (as seen above in the night market.  This was the calm area, CRAZY) or our car was moving too fast for me to focus on pedestrians.

That's okay, though.  This project can wait a bit.  I was glad to just enjoy the moment.

John Mayer is one of my favorite lyricists, and a long-time goodie "3x5" sums it up nicely.

Today skies are painted colors of a cowboy's cliche'
And strange how clouds that look like mountains in the sky
are next to mountains anyway
Didn't have a camera by my side this time
Hoping I would see the world with both my eyes
Maybe I will tell you all about it when I'm
in the mood to lose my way...

This guy is so legit!  So much detail to study too.

My favorite things about this :

     - The fit.  Some might argue about men in skinny jeans, but I'm one for them.  The rolling at the ankles just over his boots gives it a  relaxed feel.  Leather jackets, as well, should be sleek.

     - The fact that he seems kind of in a professional mode with a portfolio, clean shoes, and a hat to restrain his hair.

     - Surprisingly, his tattoos.  They really seem part of his skin, like the eye on his hand and markings in his knuckles and neck.

     - An umbrella.  Guess he wanted to be more stylish than the usual Seattle raincoat haha.

Super sharply dressed, important-looking man outside Antico's Pizza.

Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) and Prince William at the London Olympic Gala Concert.  She's such a perfectly cool royal.  I think she does an amazing job of matching public expectations of her status with her own personal style - sleek, tailored and classically modern - instead of being too stuffy or stylized.

There's something so summery about earth tone-pastel colors, along with sitting outside in the breeze.  I like her delicate accessories (turquoise earrings, long necklace, rich brown leather bag.)

This guy had subtle swag.  Tailored weaved jacket, gold chain (what?!), and faux-hawk to bring more edge to his suit.

My friend Chris, preppy but fun.  Voted our class's best dressed guy :)

Men are lucky in that their stylish shoes are always comfortable.  Women, otherwise, can go to extremes for fashion.  Even on mucky days.

Today was Oxford College Commencement.  I saw more glimpses of southern charm, as seen below with the clean cut trio.

It's always cute to see little kids dressed up for special occasions.  They can be as whimsical as they want.

Graduations are times to celebrate, spend with family and friends... and I guess sometimes, shoes are optional.

Congratulations, class of 2012/2014!!

Favorite. store. ever!  Anthropologie has always had quirky designs with quality fabrics and special little details that I love.  It's also awesome how they always change the interior design.

The salespeople at Anthropologie are so stylish too.  I'm not sure if you can quite tell, but her skirt was more of a neon-color and there was multicolor knit in her sweater.  Her hair has a bit of an ombre effect too.

I would want to work there, but I'd spend my paycheck in the store every time!  haha.  Bought two things today that I might feature some other time.
